Know your supplier and make sure the wood they use is freshly sawn (if a supplier stores materials for too long, there is an increased risk of mold). At your facility, store pallets where they can dry and will not be rewetted. If you can treat your pallets with mild fungicides, do so. This will reduce the risk of mold.

Yes. Just like pallets made of other materials, the FDA has approved the use of wooden pallets to transport food as long as they are designed and maintained in a way that makes them suitable and adequately cleanable, so the food they carry does not become unsafe during transportation

Yes, we use a computarized system  to specify pallet type, size, and style for a particular product as well as produce 2D drawings of the pallet design.

We can design biobased pallets using less material, making them lighter and better for the environment without compromising their structural integrity. We also offer a variety of used, remanufactured, and combo pallets as well.

While lumber prices are constantly in flux, supply and demand has a greater impact on the cost of pallets . In general, however, the busy shipping season occurs in Q4 prior to the holidays. During this time, pallet supply is low while demand is high, which drives up the price. Developing a pallet management program earlier in the year and keeping a watchful eye on supply is a good buying strategy. However, if needs arise in Q4, don’t hesitate to call on us; we will make sure you have a continuous supply regardless of time of year.
